Eitan Barokas is under construction, caught somewhere between mediums, styles, explorations, and stories to tell — but all throughout, he’s been steadily creating for nearly the last decade.

A painter with digital roots, over the last years, he has been creating more consistently with a focus on interdisciplinary concepts that exist where digital and physical worlds meet.

Surrounded by creativity throughout his childhood, Eitan only began creating artwork in his high school years, first experimenting with digital doodles on his phone. Just a year before starting college, he painted for the first time. In the years that followed, his practice grew consistently across several mediums, leading to a pivotal moment in the summer of 2016, when he showcased and sold his work on SoHo’s historic Prince Street — a site where many of his favorite artists, past and present, had emerged. That summer marked a turning point, shaping the path ahead. Since then, Eitan has exhibited in both solo and group shows across New York and New Jersey, presenting work in gallery and museum contexts. Over time, his practice evolved into the 'We Could Be Anywhere' project, an ongoing multidisciplinary exploration rooted in photography and storytelling, unfolding through digital and physical artworks accompanied by written narratives. The project led Eitan to release his first digital art series for sale, 'Volume I: The Beginnings,' presented as NFTs, with future volumes planned as an ongoing expansion of its world of storytelling and exploration. But following October 7th, 2023, Eitan’s creative work came to an abrupt halt. Just months later, he traveled to Israel to document the experiences of those impacted by the attacks. Over the year that followed, he transcribed and translated the stories and interviews he collected from Hebrew to English, crafting a record of memory and history that became his first published work, 'October 7th: The Day Life Changed.'
